Facial Epilator

by admin on December 18, 2009

I’m really excited to share this useful video demonstrating the Epicare Facial hair removal (basically it’s a facial epilator but a LOT gentler than the electronic ones for the face!)

For UK shoppers this is only £10.95 from Amazon! (Here)

Braun 3170 Epilator

by admin on December 14, 2009

Next up is the Braun 3170 Epilator. This little beauty is cheap as chips at £24.99. This is a really cheap epilator and a very worthwhile investment.

The Review

Overall I was really satisfied with this epilator

  • It’s powered by mains plug in adapter.
  • It pulls out hair that is a lot shorter than other epilators, meaning you don’t have to wait for hair to regrow very much before you are epilating it away again
  • It has two power speeds. I think the lowest speed is fine but some people might prefer a faster epilation.
  • It has an attachment with ‘massaging rollers’ (to massage the skin and make the hair relaxed and easier to pull out. They really do help reduce any pain of epilation).
  • It’s easy to clean and comes with a little brush which you use to just dust off the hairs when you’ve finished.
  • It comes with a nice waterproof bag for storage of the epilator and it’s attachments
  • You can easily detach the epilator head and plug in the shaving head
  • It’s design is feminine and girly

What I will say about the massage rollers is they are a little bit tickly! If you are a ticklish person it’s just something to be aware of and you could just take off the rollers and use without.

To be honest after epilating a few times you won’t even need the massaging attachments, you become very desensitized to any pain and epilation becomes quick and pain free.

Do not forget to exfoliate on regular days inbetween epilating, in the shower etc.

1. It lasts longer than shaving, 3-4 weeks on average because the hair comes out direct from the root.

Philips Satinelle Ice Premium Epilator Review

October 23, 2009

Review
Well having used this Philips Satinelle Ice epilator a few times now, it’s definitely a lot better than shaving. It hardly leaves any ingrown hairs or itchy hair regrowth. It’s also lot easier and less messy than waxing.
To prevent ingrown hairs you must always exfoliate your skin with a scrub of some sort anyway.
As with [...]

What is an epilator?

October 22, 2009

Epilators are hair removal devices that pull out several hairs at the same time. They are basically just fast tweezers, fast electric tweezers. When you first see one they can look a little scary. But they are not as scary as they look!
The original model of the epilator was the Epilady and it was sold [...]
